Public Hiwinui Community Meeting – Your Feilding 2040

The Mayor Helen Worboys, Elected members and officers from Manawatū District Council will be hosting a workshop to discuss the future of Feilding Town Centre.

“When we look to the future we have a view of what it is, it may be a movie themed look with flying cars and homes in the clouds, or it may be more conservative with traditional homes and towns.
If you had the opportunity to re-imagine Feilding’s Town Centre – what would it be like?
Would it be glass and steel, would it be Edwardian as it is today or a mix, what would you do there, what type of shops and cafes or what would you do there. Would you go to a library, see council, use a skateboard, picnic in the square.  Will it be pedestrian friendly and what about electric cars.
Council is looking to the future of Feilding’s Town Centre and wants your help to create a vision for what it could be like in 2040.”
